Our topic this week is fractions decimals and percentages. Maths homework will be posted on the Mathletics website. Please ask your teacher for a paper copy if you need one or if you have trouble logging on.
Please also practise your times tables. I need to practise my ____ x table.
Literacy (20mins):
Our new literacy topic is Non-Chronological reports. This week we have been learning information about the Greater-Horned Wild Thing.
For your homework this week, we would like you to write about a different Wild Thing. You will be able to use your writing as part of your work in class during the next two weeks.

Spellings (20mins):
These should be practised for a short time each day, using the words given in sentences. This week we are looking at root words and prefixes.     it has a very weard colure on him

    It lives in deep forests

    It eats fruits tree skin

    He adapted very quicly with his freinds and the

    Are they dangerous?

    Some people think this furry wild thing
    is very scary even if
    it isn't,it isn't because he is the cindest

  2. The smaller wild thing.
    The smaller wild thing is a very facinating species of animals.

    What does it look like? The smaller wild thing is the smallest wild thing to be known at 75 cm tall. It has simular featers to a bull dragon. It has horns like a bull on its head and blueish red scales. Juveniles don’t have horns and instead of scales they have fur.

    Where does it live?
    It lives with bunnies underneath anything.

    What does it eat?
    It is an omnivore. Its best meal is 30 pounds of meat. It seldom eats bananas and strawberry.

    How is it adapted?
    It is adapted becase the scales are used for digging. The scales on the hands and legs have lots of friction which is used to stop falling from diging straight down or not to fall from digging up.

    Are they dangerous?
    They are dangerous and they can not be tamed. Scientists found out a better way to keep them under control.

    Has sharp talons which can pulverise
    Through animal skin easily.

    Where does it live?
    The great fire breathing wild thing are from the outskirts of south Africa but they originated from secret rainforest in amazon.

    What does it eat?
    It eats cockpooch,
    Dragon pie and
    Ants

    How it is adapted
    The great fire breathing wild thing adapts by living in really high caves

    Are they dangerous?

    Yes only 7 humans have ever seen the great fire breathing wild thing and all of them died from the great fire breathing wild thing.

  4. The scaly bird like wild thing

    The scaly bird like wild thing is easy to identify as it has similar features to a crocodile and bird.

    What does it look like?

    The scaly bird like wild thing has a pure yellow, pointy beak. At the end of their scaly, white legs, they have razor, sharp claws. Interestingly, juveniles are born with a pinkish tinge to their scales and their beaks aren’t pointy.

    Where does it live?

    The scaly bird like wild thing lives in rainforests mainly in Brazil. They are normally found in hollow trees or in the undergrowth (bushes).

    What does it eat?

    It mainly eats plants or small animal. However, sometimes they are caught eating the bark of trees!

    How has it adapted?

    Most rain forest animals have adapted to liking the rain, the scaly bird like wild thing is green so it can hide in the plants.

    Are they dangerous?

    The scaly bird like wild thing is not dangerous. Surprisingly ,the scaly bird like wild thing has been found protecting explorers.Did you know the scaly bird like wild thing can be tamed ?

  5. THE WILD HAIRY THING

    . Introduction:
    The Wild Hairy Thing is a rare form of animal because it is usually seen at dusk or sunset.
    . What does it look like?
    The Wild Hairy Thing is a darkish grey colour with claws the size of knives and a pink nose.
    His nose is quite big! For smelling for food or drinks in the trash can.
    . Where does it live:
    The Wild Hairy Thing lives in Germany behind a Volkswagen factory. But behind that there is a forest and he built a house out of metal he took from the factory.


    . What does it eat:

    He eats animals which he hunts down in the forest and takes them back to his metal house. He drinks the petrol from the factory.
    . How is it adapted:
    He is adapted himself to be hairy because the winter gets very bad in Germany.
    . Are they dangerous:
    He can n ‘t be dangerous if the people in factory have given him metal to build a house and let him drink petrol from the machine which gushes petrol out.

    my wild thing is called the rainbow farting wild thing.

    What does it look like?

    It has a rainbow horn on its head and its all white with shiny black eyes.

    Where does it live ?

    It lives in Derby inside a rainbow.

    What does it eat?

    The rainbow farting unicorn wild thing eats golden fish and salmon.

    How has it adapted?

    You need gold fish or salmon.

    Are they dangerous?

    No it is not but it is shy and runs away really quickly.

  7. The sharp clawed wild thing

    This is very outlandish species of animal.

    What does it look like?
    It has pointed horns, very sharp claws, and white fur over all the body with thick padded feet’s.

    Where does it live?
    It lives deep burrows or under the rocks in Antarctica.

    What does it eat?
    It eats other small animals, fish, as well left over of other animals.

    How is it adapted?
    They are well adapted for the cold harsh weather of Antarctica. They have a warm fur coat which turns white for the winter months. Also, because they are white they can camouflage themselves in the snow.

    Are they dangerous?
    Some people think it scary but isn’t. It’s kind and very friendly.

    What dose it look like

    . It has hard fure.
    . It has rusty wings.
    . It has black spots.
    . It has a sharp,long beak.

    Where dose it live

    In a hot boiling desert, sometimes it lives in a dark jungle.

    What dose it eat

    It sometimes gose to MACDOMALS and orders food
    or it gose to the PIZZA shop and orders PIZZA.

    How is it adapted

    This wild thing hates getting wet from the rain so it digs a hole in the mud and hides underground.

    Are they Dangours

    Did you know it can be catched and sold in shops they aren't danguours but they're boring like goldfishes in a small tank.

    What does it look like ?
    It looks like a dragon with bogeys sliding out of his nose. His paws are sharp as enormous cactus spikes. His body colour is black and his eyes is smoked red.

    Where does it live?

    It lives in a scary spooky cave in Transylvania.

    What does it eat?

    It eats meat ,leaves. But if anyone sees him he will run away as quick as flash.

    How is it adapted?

    He is adapted in high stone mountains.

    Are they dangerous?

    They are dangerous but it is very shy so they run from humans but they are dangerous to animals.

  10. Filthy wild thing

    It has pink fur but you can't see it because it's so dirty, blunt claws and a head round like a leather football.
    It lives under the severn bridge and sleeps on a filthy mattress.
    The filthy wild thing loves to eat fish and chips and will take them out of a bin just to get some, sometimes stealing them from peoples hands.
    He's used to eating dead squirrels but finds the fish and chips nicer, also his fur's a lot thicker because it's colder in Wales then in the jungle.
    The filthy wild thing keeps himself to him self but if you do try and hurt him he has a black belt in all Martial Arts so it's best not to mess with him!

    It drink salty water and eats gold fishes.

    They can be dangerous because they fight like legend and should not drink any salty water or else he will go crazy.

    The slimy wild creature is species of amphibian Monster.

    Q-1. What does it look like?
    It is a scaly green creature with sharp razor like teeth and strong webbed hands.

    Q-2. Where does it live?
    It lives on land as well in water like oceans, pond, river or lake.

    Q-3. What does it is eat?
    As it is an amphibian monster it eat small creatures & plants on land as well as fish, weeds from the water.

    Q-4. How is he adapted?
    Its color is slimy greenish, its powerful back legs and webbed feet helps them to swim and also they use them to dig or burrow underground for hibernation.

    Q-5. Are they dangerous?
    Yes, they are dangerous. As they are rarely seen they can trap their prey very easily so, beware of them.
