Year 4 Homework

Our topic this week is measures and multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1000. Maths homework will be posted on the Mathletics website. Please ask your teacher for a paper copy if you need one or if you have trouble logging on.
Please also practise your times tables. This week I need to practise my _____ x table.

How much time do you spend watching TV or playing on the computer?
Well a study reckons that too many kids are having too much screen time.
The report found that by the time a child is seven they could have spent around a year of their life looking at TV and computer screens.
Some experts think that if you're between 7 and 12-years-old you should limit yourself to an hour a day to help your brain develop better.
For your homework write a balanced argument on your class blog, answering the question:
Should children have their TV and computer time limited?
Please also learn the words to your Christmas play (songs and script).

I think we should be aloud to play and watch on computers and TV because we might learn something important.

I think that they should watch some TV because they would have a busy day at school and they would need to rest there brain.
I think they should not watch and play games because they would not get lots of homework done for school.
SHOULD CHILDTREN HAVE THIER TV AND COMPUTER TIME LIMITED?
ReplyDeleteOn one hand I say that children shouldn’t have a time limit because other peoples mother or father are tricking them. When their favourite programme starts they have to do work for a long time so they could miss new episodes. But on the other hand they should have a time limit so they don’t get glasses. So if we don’t have a time limit our brain will get scorching hot and it will stick with the divice you are using.
People should not have their TV time limited because it can teach them things. It appears to me that it can keep a bit of peace and quiet at home. TV can keep children awake.
ReplyDeletePeople should have their TV time limited because it can stop them from thinking and children can appears to me also sit down and read a book to their parents. It appears to me that watching TV can disturb children in working.
Watching TV or the computer always is not good for our eyes because the electric power will make our eyes blind if we watch it daily.

one one hand the TV or computer can help us because in some of the videos it helps us on studying like the ones I watch at home so that I could see how to do what I am struggling on at maths.

On the other hand We should not always watch TV and computer because it will blind us. If we always watched TV , computer and go to school then we will forget all the things that you have learnt and you will only think about what you watched. It can also hurt your eyes. I don't think that cartoon teaches anything.
Once there lived a boy called Jack and a big big terrifying giant! Jack and the giant were invited to argue a balanced argument at one another. So the giant argued the Jack has stolen his lucky golden eggs plus his golden coins maybe the giant worked really really hard on the lucky chicken which lays lucky golden eggs and he stole the lucky golden������
ReplyDeleteI only watch the computer when I need to do homework. When I am free I watch TV when I have spare time and some times I play on the computer in the library. I spend watching and playing on the computer about 15 minutes or 1 hour. I like to watch TV because if I didn't have anything you could either watch TV or read a book. I think most people like to watch TV because they might think it is so colorful. I think that we are wasting the battery because we might lose battery and not have computer.
ReplyDeleteI think that you should get limited time on electronics because they can make you wear glasses and that means you've watched or used technology too long. I have a limited time of 2 or 1 and a half hours then 2h 30mins of homework
ReplyDeleteChildren should not site on the laptops or tvs because there eyes could get broken from that. Kids can go for a long time on tv or laptops because they did a lot of work in school. Kids can sit on tvs or laptops at the weekend at they need to do work in the week. Kids want to play on laptops they can for like 1 or half a hour if they don"t have work to do

A news flash reporting live from TV and computer.Should children get lots of hours on the TV and computer.I think they should because it is helping them to develop more and learn new stuff on the computer and TV and TV and computer is good for your brain so you can learn new stuff and concentrate on TV and computer well that bring us to a enormous discussion and that is judge jenny court.So is children allowed that much TV and computer I think yes it thoughts you how to concentrate on TV and Computer.IS children allowed that much TV and computer every day?.What do yooooo think?
This is a short paragraph and I think 100% of computer and TV are really good because it makes you learn new stuff and games on the computer are good so you its because so you can have fun and be joy and may be you can see your friend on the computer or TV too.
KEW STEAM MUSUM
ReplyDeleteThe Splash Zone was the best, 51% of the class where enjoying it. First there was the area where you block the path so the water does not go through and then the water had risen up so high that it had flooded the floor. The second part was the ice maker were all the ice was made when I kept my hand inside it my hand froze. Just because of that trip I could do the ice challenge.
The Water works gallery was so cool and we got to see that a lonely gold fish was stuck in smelly water. We also saw how it was to work in a steam area and we even tried it. The part where we made the water rise to make the duck go higher was the hardest.
The staffs were called Rebecca and Tom they helped us a lot and they even did dangerous activities (that were fun). It was the best trip ever and I had to choose between 50 trips in my whole entire school life.
The people over there are processional artists or engineers . they must of trained 9times a week. They must of trained every machine so they always work.
