  1. The Mayans
    What they ate:

The Mayans ate things like tortilla, porridge and maize which was a food a bit like corn. For meat the Mayans ate fish, deer, ducks and turkey.Other new foods that were found are tomatoes, sweet potatoes, black beans and papaya. The Mayans considered chocolate to be a gift from the Gods.

    What were their homes like?

The commoners lived in huts made from mud or stone to protect themselves from the floods. The nobles and kings lived in huge palaces made from stone.Their were single rooms with thatched roofs.
    How did they communicate?

The Mayans belived that their rulers (their kings) could speak to the gods. The Mayans also offered the blood of prisoners that were captured in warfare. They were seen as the link between humans and gods, and when the Kings (the rulers) die they would turn into gods themselves.

    Gods:

Their are four gods that the Kings spoke to,the four of them are Chac,Ah Bolon Tzacab,Ah ki'n,Balak chabtan. The Mayans thought that the world was divided into three pieces the heaven, the underworld and the earth, which were linked together by a giant world tree. The gods could turn into any shape any size and anything.
